The Houston Undergraduate Research Network (HURN) is the 1st student undergraduate research organization at the University of Houston and its purpose is to bolster the UH community of students, faculty, and staff interested in undergraduate research.
Many students do not realize that there is another side to the University of Houston beyond its academic domain. The University of Houston is not only a growing academic institution, but also an emerging research institution, with the mission of providing a broad range of education programs while engaging in a spectrum of research, scholarly, and artistic activities.
HURN aims at bringing together and uniting students and faculty from different colleges and disciplines to create an active student research community, while constantly working to engage more students in undergraduate research. The organization also hopes to create a pool of students interested in undergraduate research that allows researchers on campus to come and recruit students.
Research can come in many forms and we want people to be aware of their opportunities, for undergraduate research is for students of all majors. Come and help us create a network for people who are interested in or just love research!
